See Skeptic in action

Better habits, one prompt at a time

A little guidance before they hit send.

Ask better questions

Notice leading questions and learn to ask for evidence, different perspectives, and useful feedback.

Learn instead of copy

Turn “do this for me” into a request for help understanding the next step.

Pause before sharing

Catch personal details, such as phone numbers or addresses, before sending a prompt.

Illustrative coaching example

From “tell me I’m right” to “help me think.”

A student asks
“Look at this poem I wrote. Isn’t it awesome?”

Skeptic nudges them to ask for useful feedback.

A stronger question
“What are two ways I could improve this poem, and why?”

The student stays in charge. Skeptic helps them ask a better question.

How it works

  1. Install the Chrome extension.
Add Investigate This by Skeptic to your computer’s Chrome browser.
  2. Use a supported AI chatbot.
Write a prompt as usual. Skeptic checks it on your device before you send.
  3. Pause, rethink, and learn.
When a prompt needs another look, a short coaching message helps your student reconsider it.

Their prompts stay on their device.

The extension checks prompts inside the browser. It doesn’t collect or store prompt text, and it doesn’t send it to Skeptic. Prompts you send to an AI chatbot are still covered by that provider’s privacy policy.
